8-Ball

So, I've taken my first tentative footsteps into publishing on the Kindle (and other e-readers) with a short story called 8-Ball...

When a friend tells him about a "Magic 8-Ball" computer program making eerily accurate predictions, Paul Johnson shrugs it off as nothing but a string of coincidences. But when a copy of the Magic 8-Ball arrives in his inbox, Paul's life slowly begins to turn inside out as he realises it may actually be able to predict the future...

This all came out of discussions with friends, about making your old work, er, work for you, so I thought I'd give it a try with an old short prose story. I'm not expecting to become rich off the back of this; it's really just an experiment to see how you actually publish to e-readers and what else you publish on them (I know comics and graphic novels can be done on them and I have a bunch of old comics floating around...).

Anyway, you can get it now - with that rather tasty cover by Bryan Coyle - for a ridiculously low price on the Kindle through Amazon UK and Amazon US. It's also available via Smashwords for other e-readers. So, y'know, go buy it. If you want to.
