Zarjaz #14 & Dogbreath #25 Out Now!

The latest issues of The Galaxy's Greatest Fanzines are available to buy now - and I'm in both of 'em!

First up, we have Zarjaz #14, which features Devlin Waugh: A Night In Casablanca by me and Jaye Franklin (with Bolt-01 on letters):

When the flamboyant Vatican agent Devlin Waugh is coerced into heading to Casablanca to help track down the whereabouts of a mysterious scroll, he finds himself face-to-face with another vampire, desperate to get his hands on the artefact no matter the cost...
As I've already said, I was aprehensive when I started to draft this one. Devlin Waugh is one of the most unique characters in the 2000AD line-up, with a distinctive "voice" that's pretty difficult to emulate effectively without falling into parody. Couple that with the fact that Devlin is a character that seems to divide 2000AD fans, and you've suddenly got a challenge on your hands... I'm not sure if I've managed to pull it off or not, but hey, I tried - and, even if I didn't, I'm pretty sure I can say that this is the first Devlin Waugh story to appear in Zarjaz.

Zarjaz #14 sees ol' Devlin become the cover star for the first time, courtesy of Colin MacNeil:

Next up, we have Strontium Dog: Best Served Cold, with art by Simon Bennett Hayes (and Bolt-01 on letters again):

It's often been said that there's not a lot Strontium Dogs won't do for money, but how far are they prepared to go for revenge...?
This is my first real foray into the world of Strontium Dog, and, I'll admit, it was a little intimidating. Whether I've done Johnny Alpha justice here, I don't know. I guess you'll have to buy a copy of the comic to find out...

If you do decide to buy a copy, the cover, by Stewart Moore, looks a bit like this:

Zarjaz #14 and Dogbreath #25 are now officially available from the FutureQuake Shop, priced £3.00 (+ p&p) each, but if you prefer to grab your copy from a bricks and mortar shop, you should be able to get them from your local Forbidden Planet International store and Orbital Comics in London in the coming weeks!
